First can we agree that in a GODLY marriage a husband and wife should not deny one another. The scripture says unless they both consent to abstain for a limited time and with a suitable reason such as prayer or fasting. Therefore, the wife or husband can not tell the other that I will deny you due affection because I am fasting or praying. The decision must be taken and agreed upon by both parties. The scriptures specifically warns us of the dangers and temptations that come about when we deny our spouse of the attention and affection that is due.

Now, just because one spouse is not willing to obey the principals that have been established in Gods word concerning this issue does not give the other party the right to force themselves on the other. Two wrongs DO NOT make a right. (Unless, it is the wife that is taking it from the husband of course. Hahaha just kidding!)

I think we should ask ourselves (and the wife) why does she feel justified in withholding lovemaking from her husband? The scripture says wives obey your husband in Lord. Now, if the husband is doing things that are endangering his and the wives lives I believe she has a duty to protect (her body) the temple of God. It is written he who joins himself with a harlot becomes one with the harlot.

If her husband is out there riding raw in everything that moves, I think she has a Godly responsibility to keep her temple undefiled! Too many brothers and sisters have met an untimely death because of a cheating spouse. I would also ask the husband if he insults and beats his wife? If a man feels justified in raping his wife, He may also feel justified in beating and insulting her.

So, based on the little information that we have we can not say if the wife is wrong or right. However, it is NEVER right for a man to violently take from his wife what is not given to him in a willing manner. It shows that he is a selfish lover. Love making to him is only about achieving self gratification and not about pleasing the other person. If he is the type of man that only has a mind to satisfy himself this may be why the wife does not want to make love with him.

In law, it is a rule dat a husband cannot rape his wife bcos he paid her pride price and dey are still legally married. But if dey are divorced or about to, den any sexual move without d consent of d wife is tantamount 2 rape.
