To a certain degree, the upsurge of secular female singers in the music industry is quite tremendous. With the likes of Tiwa Savage, Lami, Omawumi and Waje making notable marks and achieving the similar success that their male counterparts have enjoyed over the years, more have followed suit and are impressively doing well.

Moyeen, a young singer and songwriter says she grew up listening to Afro beat, Reggae and R&B, making these genres are major influence in her style of music. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Moyeen who says her music cannot be placed under any genre had always wanted to be a successful singer right from when she was a little girl. I guess it’s safe to say she’s on the right path.

Moyeen does a perfect job on ‘Mr. Aristo‘, where she sounds very much like a young Sade Adu. On a soulful tune, she plays a satiric role to the many men who opt for younger ladies.
