Play / DL → ( 19761 plays)Dzakeh Maria Ekpong, who goes by the stage name ZEE is a young talented rapper who had her first TV appearance in early 2010 when she featured on ‘Come get with me’, a 2 minute video by Capital Hill records Tha suspect. This feature was what paved way for her and brought to everyone’s notice, the emergence of another fire spitting female emcee in the music industry. ZEE, who is now a graduate of the University of Lagos started her rap journey sometime around 2006 under a talent management called XXL Untertainment alongside other artistes like General Pype and Vector. There, she learnt how to write her first 16bars with Ayo Rotimi as the C.E.O of the management. ZEE who stayed underground for a couple of years due to her studies surprised everyone with the level at which she improved on her delivery on another video late 2010 from Capital hill. The track titled ‘Tuaile’ featured ZEE, Shank, Illbliss and Young milz. ZEE’s ability to flip, her lyrical capacity and the weight of her punchlines is what distinguishes her from every other female emcee. At the moment, she is putting heads together with Capital hill Records owned by the famous video director, Clarence peters to record a mixtape which she hopes to release later this year.
