IGBONEKWU JOSEPH CHIDOZIE" A.K.A " J_KIDZ" was born in ' 21 oct ,,TO THE FAMILY OF LATE MR. CHRISTOPHER IGBONEKWU AND MRS. FELICIA IGBONEKWU. HE IS FROM AKU TOWN IN IGBO ETITI LOCAL GOVERNMENTAREA IN ENUGU STATE NIGERIA. HE ATTENDED NEW CHURCH PRIMARY SCHOOL IN ONDO STATE,FURTHERED HIS SECONDARY SCHOOL EDUCATION AT WORD OF FAITH COLLEGE ARIMOGIJA OSE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA ONDO STATE THEREAFTER HE LEFT TO LAGOS TO STAY WITH HIS UNCLE MR EMAKA IGBONEKWU WHERE HE FINALY FINISHED HIS SECONDARY SCH. FROM AKINTAN GRAMMAR SCH. OJUELEGBA SURULERE LAGOS After his secondary he left to Abuja to look for a greenal pasture. And he acquired a certificate in hairdressing and cosmetology from the lagos state technical school mushin lagos state. He also applied to the federal polytechnic nasarawa state to study S.L.T(science laboratory technology) but later droped out due to financial constriat. The said legend started his musical career as at the age of 7 , but he started studio recording in the year 2012. where he formed a musical crew called J -3 crew then in nasarawa state same year he left the group and started his own record as a single artiste professionally where he recorded some tracks; make it , sare, take u at Aluta production In keffi nasarawa state. When he came to lagos he also recorded a track titled rap_ matters at a studio in ojuelegba surulere lagos where the track was nominated in topnaijamusicaward for best rap single in 2014. He has alongside performed with Reminisce, Patoranking and Amarachi in Airtel arising star competition in 2014 and also have performed with Small doctor , Uncle promise , Dresan ,Lace .> Dj real.. In the year 2015 he did a track titled Yetunde (be with me) featuring Uncle promise ,produced by Lahlah smoke da music. In 2016 he did the remix of the song with Famous igboro/okobo. J kidz is not currently signed to any record label yet.
