Growing up with parents, who both had dynamic musical careers, KOKUMO OMOWUNMI, professionally named, LEEFAWKES, has been exposed to the music arts for as long as she can remember. A singer, songwriter, and actress from Abeokuta, Ogun state, South west Nigeria, LEEFAWKES is part of a new generation of artists that has refused preconceived notions or outside expectations about the Afro-pop and RnB music. With varying experiences in the fashion and entertainment industry, Leefawkes is coming out of her shells to do all she had ever dreamt and find fulfilment doing, MUSIC. Her works have been inspired by great artists such as Enya, Jenny aiko, and Dido. Her genre of music is Afro hip-pop and RnB which falls in same category as her native (Nigerian) influences in the likes of the mavins diva, Tiwa Savage and Seyi shay. Body on fire done in collaboration with Fancy is her official introduction and gift to fans today which happens to be her birthday.
