Having garnered awards and nominations ever since his first studio LP "Atide" JJC just droped a track "HUNGRY" , I must say it is so JJC. The song is a nice song. for me it's a grower track and that is very rare for me because I love JJC but there is something about this song, where is like I have to keep listening to it until I like it. I couldn't tell if JJC was going for something different but HUNGRY sounded like the same stuff I hear from JJC, but there is one thing about JJC songs, you'll always want to dance to them anytime it is played. Even though the instrumental sounds plane to me, i still get the urge to groove and jam to the song when it's on. Now coming down to the context of the song, lyrically JJC used food to represent girls, talking about girls of different tribes and culture that he has been with. All now point to the fact in this song, he is (HORNY) HUNGRY. The song became hilarious from 2:24 when he said some are hungry for the money, some are hungry for the horny and some are hungry because they have not eaten. Then he talks about trying out a (GIRL) FOOD he has never tasted before. JJC sounds decent, but the rest of the track is suspect .. likely to do much. Listen and Tell me what YOU think?
