Originally drawn to the cross-fader by her love of blended music and the desire to share her impeccable taste with the carousing masses, Double Dee (pronounced "el") began learning her craft back in 1998 i was inspired by legends such as DJ funk Jay,Mixer Master T, Dj Bola Fresh, Dj Jim Jatt Although Double Dee is primarily self-taught, credits practicing with other DJs as valuable experience. "I still practice with DJs 'til this day," reports. "It helps keep things fresh." Although i respects turntablism - and had the opportunity to spin between sets at the renowned B&H DJ battles in 2004 at ABUJA - Double Dee remains most focused on getting the party popping. A versatile performer, it is comfortable spinning for both underground and mainstream crowds. "I just do my thing," says nonchalantly, "Depending on the parties and the clubs I'm at, I change my selection up to suit the crowd I will be playing for." The parties, clubs and Crowds are plentiful; venues where Double Dee has rocked the ones-and-twos include The Tunnel, Limelight, Dome. i also had the chance to player at Univ Maid... Some Corporate parties Double has rocked include GTB Christmas Party 2006, Haley Hood Festival every year, Besides spinning at parties, Double Dee has put together an impressive discography of mixtapes. From 1999 to the present, she's unleashed the following: DJ Double Dee. "People tell me that they still listen to my first mixtape," says incredulously, "I just like getting them out there." Although i enjoys the critical acclaim, "I make mixtapes that I would want to hear," explains of artistic ideology People are definitely into my work' Double Dee i work with Rhymes Fm in Abuja, he makes it happen. If you know anything about him, you know that he is success driven. Though he is a native of the Hawley hood Islands, no one can limit this hit maker to only a reggae sound.
